AARON DRAPLIN / USA
His clients include Esquire, Nike, Wired, Patagonia, Target, Ford Motor Company and even the Obama Administration, if you can believe that. He co-created Field Notes, and the memo books are sold in over 2,500 stores worldwide, with limited-edition special editions shipped quarterly to a booming subscriber list. His first book titled Pretty Much Everything came out in 2016 and is in its seventh printing. DDC pride themselves on a ‘high level of craftsmanship and quality that keeps us up late into the wet Portland night.
GAIL BICHLER / USA
With over 12 years of experience at The New York Times Magazine, her team have won numerous awards for their print and interactive design, including Design Team of the Year in 2018 and 2015 from the Art Directors Club and Magazine of the Year from the Society of Publication Designers in 2016. In addition, Gail’s work has been recognized by national and international design organizations including D&AD, the American Institute for Graphic Arts, the Type Directors Club and Creative Review.

After establishing his own studio, The Map Office, Eddie Opara joined Pentagram’s New York office as partner in 2010, bringing along his whole team. His projects range across multiple media and clients including; lululemon, Samsung, Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, Nike, Morgan Stanley, New York University, David Adjaye Associates and Princeton Architectural Press. His work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art and has appeared in numerous proclaimed publications. Opara is also a senior critic at the Yale University School of Art and the author of Color Works. He was named one of Adweek Creative 100 in 2018, one of Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business in 2012 and 2014, and was featured in Ebony Magazine’s Power 100 list.
SUZY TUXEN / AUS
Suzy’s tight-knit Melbourne based design studio of 4 celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2019. Not wishing to be pigeon holed into a certain style, Suzy’s body of work is a mixed bag of contrasting designs and ideas — a testament to her continual curiosity in finding fitting and distinct ways to communicate.
A Friend of Mine prefers to work with a mix of sectors, with a focus on the big picture of brand identity, often leading to other disciplines including art direction, custom websites, packaging, signage and print material.
Suzy has previously worked at studios in London and Melbourne, and has spent time teaching design and typography at RMIT University in Melbourne.
FRANCESCO FRANCHI /IT
Art Director of IL Magazine turned Managing Editor of Italian daily La Repubblica Francesco Franchi is the impersonalisation of the importance of design and content working together to create a successful publication. He authored multiple books on Editorial Design and Information Graphics and lectures at universities across Europe and US. His work was recently exhibited in V&A Museum in London and at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York.
MARINA WILLER /BRA
Marina Willer is a graphic designer and film-maker. Before joining Pentagram London as a first female partner in 2012, she was head creative director for Wolff Olins. Marina has led the design of major identities schemes for Amnesty International, Tate, the largest telecoms in Russia (Beeline) and Brazil (Oi), among many others. Willer’s first feature film, Red Trees, premiered at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival and was released worldwide by Netflix in 2018. She has also worked on major exhibitions for the Barbican and the Design Museum in London.
Naresh joined Pentagram London in 2010 as a communications and advertising partner. Before that, his extraordinary wit and talent with words earned him numerous recognitions, including Cannes’ award for ‘Best Ad In The World’ or 'Agency of the Year' for IKEA in 1999. He also co-founded creative agency called Karmarama and a non-profit organization Do the Green Thing.
